The tool can add practically anything to the CbB Utilities menu. I wrote the program partially in response to a post in this thread about using iZotope RX with SONAR. I do not have RX but imagine it is setup using the Tool Editor like any wave editor.

Jan 24, 2020  iZotope RX is a very powerful application designed to help its users repair audio files. This program offers an impressive amount of handy functions like denoise, spectral repair, remove hum, declip, etc. Moreover, the application provides multiple selection methods, thus helping you process only the song fragments that you are interested in. Ozone level meters display the input and output level for the left and right channels. New for Ozone 5 we added support for BS.1770-2 and EBU128 loudness metering. This very powerful approach to loudness metering and monitoring allows you to analyze the apparent loudness of your mix. Loudness ADV Overview. The Loudness module adjusts the gain of the signal in order to meet the specified loudness standard, such as BS.1770. Unlike the Leveler module, the gain in Loudness module stays fixed in time. However a post-limiter will be applied to the signal, if it is required to meet the True peak specification.

Jan 28, 2020  As a result, LUFS is a useful system to measure perceived loudness. You can use LUFS to quantify why some tracks sound louder than others, even if they’re mixed at the same level. However, because the LUFS system takes perception into account, it isn’t used for purely technical level measurements, like in setting the threshold of a compressor. Aug 18, 2017  iZotope RX 6 is a powerful, industry-leading tool for fixing audio issues. In this course, join Garrick Chow as he covers the best and latest features of iZotope RX 6, and demonstrates techniques for fixing audio problems in a variety of situations.

Overview

The Loudness module adjusts the gain of the signal in order to meet the specified loudness standard, such as BS.1770. Unlike the Leveler module, the gain in Loudness module stays fixed in time. However a post-limiter will be applied to the signal, if it is required to meet the True peak specification.

Controls

Loudness standard

Specifies the loudness standard used for calculating loudness and sets Integrated loudness and True peak sliders to the target values typical for the standard. See the Loudness Standard chart below for more information about the different loudness standards.

Integrated loudness

Sets the desired integrated loudness of the clip, in LKFS (which is the same as LUFS).

True peak

Sets the maximum true peak value allowed in a clip.

Integrated loudness & True peak level Compatibility Note

  • Note that some combinations of Integrated loudness and True peak level may be incompatible.
  • For example, having loudness of −10 LKFS is not compatible with a true peak value of −20 dBTP.
  • When settings are incompatible, the Loudness module will display a warning at the end of the processing pass.

Workflow

To use the Loudness module:

  1. Make a selection in your file. If you want to apply Loudness to the entire clip, click Edit > Select All or Edit > Deselect All.
  2. Click Process > Loudness.
  3. Select a preset, or make adjustments to the Integrated loudness and/or True peak sliders.
